SOLIVeAR SO - soil LIV - light / olive [live] e - energy A - air R - water / fire
"Pastoral grass or lawn carries a relatively low carbon store, whereas trees absorb and retain about 10 times more carbon than grass does. Olive trees are fast sequesters of carbon because they grow quickly. Once they reach a certain age, however, they will only store rather than collect carbon." ¹ ¹ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_sequestration
At SOLIVeAR® we assume an advanced working knowledge of "carbon" - we are not educating at the basic elemental level, rather amplifying the message of "carbon management" in its natural life-cycles and ecosystems, be it in aquatic (ocean & fresh water), on terra-firma (land based) or as it 'floats' around in the atmosphere (air and water molecules).
Hence, we use the narrative "carbon management" NOT "decarbonisation". Further, we are not putting forward the science, nor data or facts, as it is assumed known, or at least heard of by our stakeholders.
Our goal @SOLIVeAR® is to bring carbon into the decision mix of business, to harness, manage and commercialise its natural presence - it is a resource, much needed, like any resource it has a value, purpose and function.
SOLIVeAR® also forms part of a large scale integrated energy & agricultural project see @IECorp.com.au.
BLUE CARBON "Blue carbon is carbon sequestration by the world's oceanic and coastal ecosystems, mostly by algae, seagrasses, macroalgae, mangroves, salt marshes and other plants in coastal wetlands. This occurs through plant growth and the accumulation and burial of organic matter in the soil." ¹ ¹ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_carbon
